The precision of hydraulic oil filter is the core indicator for measuring the filtering ability of the filter element. The oil suction filter is installed at the pump inlet, mainly serving as a coarse filter to protect the pump. Its typical accuracy range is 80-150 microns, and the mainstream accuracy is 100 microns. The material of the oil absorbing filter element is mostly stainless steel woven mesh to ensure the flow capacity. Its main function is to intercept large particles such as welding slag and rust, and prevent hydraulic pump suction and cavitation. It is strictly prohibited to use fine precision filter cartridges as oil suction filters, otherwise it may cause excessive oil suction resistance and damage to the pump
Different oil circuits have different requirements for filtration accuracy. The higher the pressure, the more precise the accuracy requirement. The order is that the high-pressure oil circuit is greater than the return oil circuit and greater than the suction oil circuit. The commonly used oil suction filter element in construction machinery such as excavators or loaders is a 100 micron stainless steel mesh. When selecting a filter element, it is necessary to first determine the cleanliness level of the oil according to the requirements of the hydraulic system, and then select the filtration accuracy of the oil filter based on this. Filtration accuracy: Oil suction filters usually adopt a coarse filtration design (with a filtration accuracy of generally 80-100 μ m), mainly intercepting large particle impurities (such as metal shavings, fibers, etc.) in the oil to prevent them from entering the oil pump and avoid pump body wear or jamming.
Low pressure design: Due to its installation at the oil pump suction port, the filter needs to withstand low pressure (generally<0.1MPa), so the structure is simple and the resistance is low, ensuring smooth oil suction of the oil pump.
Connection method: The oil outlet is usually equipped with threaded or flanged connections to meet different pipeline requirements.
Material selection: The filter material is usually metal mesh or coarse fiber, which is corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, and suitable for different working conditions.
